Christmas can be the most wonderful time of the year – the joy and the promise of the Christmas story as it threads through our lives, the family times, the food and the gifts.  However, sometimes we need solace, comfort and consoling as the cheerfulness of the season contrasts with the circumstances in our lives that are causing us sorrow, anxiety, depression or feeling overwhelmed.  The Service of Solace provides a time for quiet reflection, a time to acknowledge our hurts and discouragement, to mourn those broken areas of our lives and the people we miss.  Everyone is welcome at the Service of Solace; a service of quiet and calm, music, readings, prayer, and candle lighting.
