Potluck Church is a sermon-free contemporary expression of church at Westminster. Services encompass the communal sharing of a meal, where participants contribute food to create a substantial table for a gathering of guests. Following the meal, we engage in singing of simple, accessible songs. Afterwards, children proceed to the gymnasium for supervised recreational and faithful activities, while adults participate in a discussion of a passage from the teachings of Jesus. We draw upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit and our own abilities and intuitive insights to wrestle with the profound teachings of Jesus and their relevance to our lives. The service concludes with prayers offered around the communal tables.
