Sunday Worship

Sunday Sermons are available on our YouTube page Westboro’s Presbyterian Church

Join us as we gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in person or on Zoom.

For further information, contact Elaine in the office at admin@mywestminster.ca.
To sign up for Zoom events, contact Pastor Christopher Clarke at cclarke@mywestminster.ca .

There are many people involved in the worship service each Sunday. We prepare the worship space, set-up the microphones and hearing assist loop system, resolve problems with the technology and operate the audio-visual equipment. Both in person and on Zoom, we greet you, sing thoughtful and joyful music and share news on the life of the congregation.

We begin with the Bible and Choir entry followed by the welcome and the call to worship. We love music at Westminster and have several hymns throughout the service with special music provided most Sundays (September – June) by our talented Organist/Choir Director, choir and sometimes invited guests. Services begin and end with music to allow time for prayer and reflection.

Children and youth attended Zoom Sunday School that has now ended for the summer. There is a children’s time at the beginning of the Zoom service. At special times throughout the year, the children and youth contribute to our worship. Both in person and on Zoom, the children are taught by a dedicated team of volunteers. We are a “Leading With Care” community which means that we take extra precautions to ensure that young children and vulnerable adults are never in risky situations. All our Sunday School teachers and other leaders in the church have had Police Checks.

Following the in-person service, all are invited downstairs to the lower hall for a time of fellowship and refreshments.

We celebrate the sacrament of communion the first Sunday of each month, excluding July-September. Bring your own on Zoom. In person, communion is served either in the pews or as ‘come to the table with individual cups. All are welcome to take part in communion. We also have special services at Christmas and Easter. Please check our events and calendar pages for information on communion services and other special services.
